Dorothy Ann Mansfield, 61, of Cuero passed away Friday, April 6, 2012. She was born May 29, 1950 in Norway, Michigan to the late Donald and Delpha Johnson. She married Michael Wayne Mansfield on July 24 in Bartlett, Tennessee. Dorothy loved animals, especially dogs, and loved making others feel important and comfortable.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Mansfield of Cuero; daughter, Karen Mansfield of Victoria; sons Christopher Mansfield and wife, Andrea, of Victoria, Timothy Stephen Mansfield and Andrew Mansfield, both of Cuero; sisters, Barbara Klein and husband, Mark, of Westbend, WI and Bette Smith and husband, Jim, of Ogema, WI; brothers, Donald Johnson and wife, Kathy, of Amberg, WI; grandchildren, Adrian Holst, Brayden Mansfield, and Camdyn Mansfield; niece, Tracy Lynch; and nephews, Shane Johnson, Justin Kopacz, Brandon Kopacz, and Nathan Faas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Roberta Tucker; husband of 25 years, Alen Hughes; godson & nephew, Travis Johnson; and grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Jacob, and Matthew.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Cuero.
Pallbearers include Andrew Mansfield, Timothy Mansfield, Pat Tucker, Chris Mansfield, and Michael Mansfield with Adrian Holst serving as an honorary pallbearer.
