Aaron Kurt Hudgeons, 40, of Cuero entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 08, 2010. He was born September 5, 1969 to the late Martha Hudgeons Young.

He is survived by son, Caleb Hudgeons; dear friend, Faith Mascarro; father, Kurt Hudgeons; stepmother, Sandra Hudgeons; sisters, Sheryl Mauldin; stepsister, Amy Latta; numerous nieces and nephews; and godparents, Jack and Joyce Black.

He was preceded in death by his mother and sister, Eva Spranz.

He was a loving father, brother, friend, son, and uncle. Aaron raced for 25 years and was very well respected in the racing community. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010, 2 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wade Moyer, Roland Diaz, Forrest Striedel, Carlton Albrecht, James Boehm, Jason Kurtz, and Harold Palmer.

Honorary pallbearers include Caleb Hudgeons, Kevin Wanjura, John Richard Hudgeons, Danny Villarreal, Paul Mascarro Jr., Jason Zarbock, Jane 'Chita' Mascarro, and Ian Renteria.

The family wishes to thank Shanna Kurtz and Team Shanna, Paul and Mary Mascarro, Michelle Hochdorf, Hospice of South Texas, Dr. Whitehouse and Staff, Dr. Dugi and Staff, Phillip and Mary Hoefling, Nasty Cookers, Manuel and Gertrude Cantu, and Texana Raceway Park.
