Abel Trevino, 92 of Cuero passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014. He was born November 28, 1921 to the late Jose and Petra Morenio Trevino in Hochheim, TX. He married Erlinda Gonzales on October 28, 1950 in Cuero. Abel was a dedicated employee of the City of Cuero for 27 years as a heavy machines operator for the Street Department. He was a member of The Good Sheppard Church in Cuero.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Ruiz and husband, David, and Linda DeLeon and husband, Ray, both of Cuero; sisters, Beatrice Anzulda and Hope De La Santos both of Amarillo; brother, Joe M. Trevino of Point Comfort; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughters, Mary Ann Carmona (Albert) and Mary Alice Trevino; son, Alvaro Muniz; brothers; Julio Trevino, Simon Trevino, and Fred Trevino, Jr.; and sisters, Carmen Pompa, Consulio Sustaita, Katy Maldonado, and Josephine Maldonado.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. David Maldonado. Services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at The Good Shepherd Temple of Praise with Rev. John Carmona officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Ismael Abel Reyes, Israel Galindo, Andy Galindo, Fred Trevino, Jr., Mario De los Santos, and Aarron Apperson.
