Abundio "Al" Arguellez, 66, of Cuero passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015. He was born July 11, 1949 in Yorktown to the late Porfirio Arguellez and Juanita Arguellez. He was a Yorktown High School graduate, and went on to attend Austin Technical College and achieved his Master Mechanics certification. He was also an active member of Guadalupanos Organization Spanish Choir, lecturer, and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Delinda Arguellez of Cuero, Christina T. Munoz (Martin Jr.) of Yorktown, Alyse D. Pauler (Wesley)of Yoakum; sons, Robert L. Arguellez (Sandra) of Victoria, Marcos M. Arguellez (Crystal) of Victoria; sisters, Juanita DeLaGarza (Leoncio Sr.) of Kenedy, Dominga Garcia (Felix) of Rockport, Mary Helen Monaghan (John) of Cuero; brothers, Porfirio Arguellez Jr. (Janie) of Yorktown), Felix Arguellez (Lupe) of Yorktown, Armando Arguellez (Lisa) of McAllen, Joe Frank Arguellez of Cuero, Mario Arguellez (Linda) of Cuero, Gilbert Arguellez of Runge, Richard Arguellez (Rosie) of Floresville; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 with a Rosary to begin at 6 pm. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 10 am on Thursday, September 24, 2015 with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Martin Munoz Jr., Martin Munoz III, Mario Arguellez Jr., Daniel Arguellez, Gary Villarreal, and Jesse Arguellez. Honorary pallbearers include Ezekiel Munoz and Jase Arguellez.
