CUERO - Adaoise "Ada" Holster of Cuero passed away March 4, 2009. She was born in Dickens County on Dec. 31, 1918 to John Carroll Meadows and Altha Rocelia Manning Meadows. She moved to Cuero in the late 1930's where she met and married Harry Boyd Holster. Ada was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She was also a loving mother of five children: daughters, June Benton and husband Charles and Carol Ann Richards and husband Carver, all of Cuero, Gayle Wagner and husband Carrol of Katy; sons, Kenny Holster of Cuero and Greg Holster and wife Cindy of Missouri City. In addition to her children, she is survived by her brother, Clayton Meadows of Baird, and sister, Sarah McRancy of Kilgore. Ada is also survived by eight grandchildren: Bill Richardes, Jason Butler, Jed Butler, Jon Butler, Missy Christal, Rene Wagner, Lisa Zeger, and Ryan Holster, along with nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Blondie Meadows; and grandson, Paul Richards.

Memorials may be sent to Calvary Baptist Church of Cuero.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, March 5, at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero.

Private graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
