Agnes Afflerbach , 97, of Cuero Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 26, 2012. She was born on May 2, 1915 in Cuero to the late Joseph and Emilie Juenger Boehm. Agnes married Werner Afflerbach on June 1, 1933 at St . Michael's Catholic Church in Cuero. She was a member of St. Michael's in Cuero.

Agnes is survived by son, Curtis Afflerbach and wife, Betty of Cuero; son Werner Afflerbach and wife, Denise of Victoria, and daughter Emily Koenig and husband, Oliver (Butch) Koenig Jr. of Victoria; grandchildren, Nikki Afflerbach of Cuero, Oliver Koenig III and wife Heather of Kyle, Zachary Koenig and wife Kayla of Victoria, Hilary Koenig of Austin, Blake Afflerbach and wife Jamie of Lindenau; great-grand children, Zane and Kennedy Koenig of Victoria; Skylar, Caitlin, Oliver IV and Luke Koenig of Kyle. She is also survived by one sister-in-law Gertrude Boehm.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers (Edwin and Erwin) and six sisters (Selma, Edna, Sophie, Hertha, Hilda and Irma) and grandson, Eric Afflerbach.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-7pm at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10 am at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. Interment will follow at Lindenau Community Cemetery in Lindenau.

Pallbearers include Curtis Afflerbach, Werner Afflerbach, Oliver Koenig Jr., Oliver Koenig III, Zachary Koenig, Blake Afflerbach and Zane Koenig.

Honorary pallbearers are Nikki Afflerbach and Hilary Koenig.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Eric Afflerbach Scholarship Fund- First Baptist Church Cuero, Lindenau Community Cemetery, or Donor's Choice.
