Alfred G. Aleman, 96, of Cuero passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. He was born December 5, 1915 in Cuero to the late Alfredo S. and Maria Gonzales Aleman. He was a rancher.

He is survived by his wife, Marcela G. Aleman of Cuero; daughters, Josephine Garcia and husband, Manuel, of Victoria, Nora McElroy and husband, John, of Houston, and Lisa Aleman of Yoakum; sons, Santos Aleman and wife, Janie, of Yoakum and Sherman Aleman and wife, Melanie, of Cuero; stepsons, Joe Jasso of San Diego, California, Ernest Jasso and wife, Lena, of Cuero, and Rudy Jasso and wife, Maria, of Cuero; sister, Juanita A. Ruiz of San Antonio; 12 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents;; son, Alfonso G. Aleman; step-daughter, Tony Plazek; brothers, Frank Aleman, Joe Aleman, and Robert Aleman; and sister, Lily A. Wesar.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father David Berger officiating.

Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Sherman Aleman, Sandy Aleman, Bobby Banda, Derrick Corpus, Patrick Garcia, and Rudy Aleman.

Honorary pallbearers include Shanell Aleman, Miranda Aleman Corpus, and Esteban Rodriguez.
