Alva Darrell "A.D." Duhon, 80, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012. He was born December 25, 1931 in Sulphur, LA to the late A.D. and Mary Ida Moses Duhon. He married his beloved wife Marta Hoeflich Duhon on May 27, 1978 in LaPorte, Texas. He was a veterinarian for 60 years working in LaPorte and Cuero. He was a member of the Rotary Club of LaPorte and First Baptist Church in Westhoff.

He is survived by his wife, Marta Duhon of 34 years, daughters, Daryl Marie McPhail, Frances Renee Armstrong, and Laura Michele Wadsworth; son, Bret Thompson Duhon; grandchildren, Clinton Reagan McPhail and wife, Janell, Jenna McPhail, Lauren Michele Armstrong, Ryan Daniel Armstrong and wife, Jana, Cameron Cole Armstrong, Katelyn Renee Armstrong and Madeline and Meredith Wadsworth; great-grandchildren, Nolan Reagan McPhail, Selso Cole Berrera, and Alexis Renee Armstrong-Lewis; brother, Billy Duhon and wife, Jewell, and 2 nephews and 1 niece all of Sulphur, LA.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Rich Schaller officiating.
