Amelia Vasquez, 70, of Cuero passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. She was born February 26, 1943 in Westhoff to the late Benardo and Fernanda Garcia Vasquez.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Gomez, Donna Gomez, and Laura Vasquez of Cuero, Gloria Ann Gomez and Lisa Guzman of Miami; son, John Gomez of Miami; sisters, Sara Rodriguez and Margarita Pena; brother, Joe Vasquez; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Mary Torres, Selena Arismendez, and Pauline Lopez; brothers, Joe Fred Vasquez, Pete Vasquez, Tony Vasquez, and Jesse Vasquez.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Westhoff.
