Angelene Buttler, 90, of Cuero passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. She was born June 23, 1935 in Bartlett to Freddrick and Leona T. Price Buttler. 

She was known all over for her caring and nice personalities and always wanted to help family, friends and her church. She was always with her kids and grandkids doing what she loved to do. If she wasn't looking for a domino partner, she was listening to her music or watching TV - she loved her westerns!

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia A. Haynes "Bittie"; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. They will all truly miss their Big Grandma. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Onia M. Jones and Ida l. Howard and her sons, Gary Howard and Tommy R. Green.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, 1:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home with Funeral Services beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Donald Jones, Reggie Mathis, Kahliel Prater, Nijahrell Prater, Michael Jasso and John Wayne.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Freund Funeral Home to help defray expenses.
