Ann Schorre Cook received her independence from her earthly body at the age of 90 on July 4, 2021 at 3:41 am. She was born July 1, 1931 in Sarasota, Florida to the late Thomas and Reba Handley. Ann's joy was her Aglow involvement, a Bible therapy group that encourages women to hide and apply God's Word in their lives. This group was over 30 years ongoing. Ann loved playing tennis in her younger days. She moved to Cuero in 1973 from Corpus Christi. Ann loved her Trinity Church in Cuero and enjoyed walks and bike rides around Huck Street. She was blessed with wonderful friends and neighbors. Ann moved to Manvel to live with her daughter the last five years.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Linda Henderson of LaConner, Washington, Sonya Williamson of Fairhope, Alabama, and Reyne Nix of Manvel; stepson, Buddy Schorre of Houston; son-in-laws, Ric Henderson, Brian Williamson, and William "Bill" Nix; brother, Mickey T. Handley of Corpus Christi; and grandchildren, Lora Weaver of Moeller, Washington, Stacy Kepler of Colorado, Suni Day of Round Rock, Josh Pipkin of Lake Charles, LA, and Jonas Schorre of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gilbert J. Schorre; and second husband, Gene Cook.
