Annie E. McElroy, 90, of Cuero passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019. She was born September 11, 1928 in Cuero to the late William and Leona Hennesey. Annie married Guy McElroy Sr. in 1950 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing games, putting together puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Annie is survived by daughters, Pat Hull (Gary) of Cuero, Gail McElroy of Colorado, and Sheila Armes (David) of Gruver; sons, Guy McElroy Jr. (Darlene) of Shiner and Jimmie McElroy of Victoria; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; great-great-granddaughter, Trista Sevcik; her parents; sisters, Lorena Cox and Ollie Mae Shaffner; and brothers, William Hennesey and Joe Hennesey.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Monday, July 8, 2019, 9:30 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Evan McElroy, Mitchell McElroy, Clayton Martignoni, Dallas Idlett Jr., Michael Pakebusch, and Jeff Lenhart. Honorary pallbearers include Kody Martignoni and her nephews.
