Cuero, Anthony Joseph Engbrock, 94, of Cuero, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008. He was born May 24, 1914 in Seguin, Texas to the late William Jacob Engbrock and Mary Frances Burttschell. He married Rowena K. Heiusohn in Seguin on March 28, 1941. Mr. Engbrock was an employee of Southwestern Bell for 41 years and made Cuero home for over 60 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Joseph Engbrock II; his parents; five sisters; and three brothers.

Visitation will be at Freund Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, December 22 at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, December 23, 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Seguin.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church or St. Michael's Catholic School.
