Armando Mungia Sr., 67, of Cuero passed away Monday, February 19, 2024.  He was born January 6, 1957 in Cuero to Teresa Rodriguez and Gilbert Mungia Sr.  He was an accomplished musician and played with Los Mismos for over 15 years.  He was a recorded artist to 5 albums and a Christian album in his later years "Perdoname". Family and Music has always been his two greatest passions.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Olguin Mungia; daughter, Miranda (Frankie) Torres of Victoria; son, Armando (Natalie) Mungia Jr. of Cuero; sisters, Gloria Gomez of Lubbock, Lucia (Mario) Davila of Lubbock and Debbie (Jerry Sr.) Alvarez of Yorktown; brothers, Joe Naez of Louisiana, Gilbert (Amelia) Mungia Jr. of Yorktown, Martin (Emma) Mungia Sr. of Yorktown, Valerio Mungia Sr. of Yorktown and Ruben (Becky) Mungia Sr. of Yorktown; grandchildren, Christopher Mungia, Mariacella Mungia, Isaiah Mungia, Armani Mungia, Mia Bella Torres and Glacius Torres and great grandson, Tyrone Torres.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Laura Teresa Mungia; sisters, Alicia Barrera and Yolanda Mungia and brothers, Roman Mungia Sr., Jimmy Mungia and Rene Mungia.

The visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, 9:00 AM at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM with Rev. Adolf B. Cortinas Jr.  officiating.

Honorary pallbearers include Valerio Mungia Jr., Jerry Alvarez Jr., Tony Campos, Rocky Barrera and Dylan Mungia.
