Arturo Pompa, 66, of Cuero went peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, June 2, 2024.  He was born December 10, 1957 in Houston to Mateo and Rachel Gonzalez Pompa.  Arturo married Sylvia Garibay on February 9, 1979 in Cuero.  He was a carpenter, rancher and jack of all trades.  He enjoyed going hunting and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren and was known by most as PoPo.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Sylvia; his daughters, Delilah Ann Reyes (Jason), Deann Morales (Kevin) and Debbie Pompa; sister, Rosa Jacinto; brothers, Bobby Pompa (Margie), Joel Pompa (Diana) and Daniel Pompa; grandchildren, Amari N. Rodriguez, Jessiah A. Rodriguez, Jason Reyes Jr., Nehemiah J. Rodriguez, Azariah P. Rodriguez, Kamdyn A. Morales, Kollin C. Morales, Hunter J. Hernandez and Kingston G. Hernandez.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delia Pompa.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be Friday, June 7, 2024, 10:00 AM  at The Good Shepherd Church with Rev. Adolf B. Cortinas Jr. officiating.  Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Edward L. Keseling, Zachariah J. Salazar, Abel Gonzalez, John Herrera, Kevin C. Morales and Jason Reyes.

Honorary Pallbearers include Jessiah A. Rodriguez, Hunter J. Hernandez, Jason Reyes Jr., Kollin C. Morales, Kingston G. Hernandez and Nehemiah J. Rodriguez.
