Obituary

Ashton William McNeese, 22, of Humble, TX left his temporary home on this earth on March 22, 2015 to continue his eternal life in heaven with Jesus Christ whom he received as his Lord and Savior at the age of 8 years old.

He began as a son, born January 26, 1993 in Cuero, TX to his loving parents, David and Michelle McNeese. He soon became a protective, big brother to his sister Cortney McNeese and enjoyed their many discussions on any and every subject. Ashton was to everybody exactly what they needed at just the right time; which means he is something different to each person... from giving advice on why to use a base coat of fingernail polish first, to how to rig a failing 4 wheeler in order to continue riding through cow patty infested mud, up to giving someone in need the shirt off his back (if he happened to be wearing one at that time). Ashton was also adventurous, outgoing and never afraid to try anything new. He was proud of conquering his fear of needles and heights by getting a large cross tattoo containing his granny's name and riding around in a fully extended man lift for work. He always loved hanging out with his friends, shooting guns, playing video games, freestyle bmx riding all over town, muddin' in anything that would go, dancing and listening to music, (all while being extremely respectful to friends' parents). Ashton's recent favorite hobby was making contest winning, super-cell sized vape clouds. He used to say he was shy and unsure of himself, but that's not what we saw when he entered a room. That huge smile and deep belly laugh lit up the room like no other and brought fun and laughter to so many situations, especially when he walked in wearing neon from head to toe or his grandpa's brown corduroy jacket, no shirt, shorts and boots. He was also such a deep thinker and adored having long heart to heart conversations with his family, friends and with God. Ashton would tend to wear his heart on his sleeve so you could usually tell if he was upset or hurt. That didn't last very long, though, because he was quick to forgive and forget and move on with the friendship. That must be why so many people love him and had such a lasting connection with him no matter how long their interaction.

Ashton recently found new life and embraced it with every cell of his body. His enthusiasm for life touched so many. He was so proud of his new life that it was contagious and felt by all who knew him well. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. We will always remember his infectious smile and his loving and caring personality. We are broken hearted with an Ashton sized hole in our hearts, but we know he is enjoying eternal happiness in heaven with no traces of glitter around him!

Ashton is survived by his parents, David and Michelle McNeese of Humble; his sister, Cortney McNeese and soon to be nephew Brayden William Charles Harris; grandparents, Michael Sturm of Cuero; Brenda Lee of Dayton, TX; and Bill and Loa McNeese of Cypress, TX; his great-grandma, Nancy Lovejoy originally of Lafayette, IN; uncles, Jim McNeese (Heather) of Humble, Chris McNeese of Humble, Dennis Sturm of Cuero and Chet Sturm (Tracy) of Cuero.
He is preceded in death by his Granny, Christina Sturm; Paw Paw, Clearance "Buddy" Lee; and uncle, Michael Joe Sturm and his pit bull puppy, "Ace".
