Obituary
Cuero – Aurora Lira Davis, 78, of Cuero passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Citizens Hospital in Victoria. She was born January 6, 1931 in Gonzales to the late Lalo and Lena Lira. She married Arvie J. Davis, Jr. on March 2, 1957 in Cuero.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years; sons, Robert T. Davis of Victoria and Rory A. Davis of Avondale, Arizona; four sisters; two brothers; and grandchildren, Aaron M. Davis of Victoria and Ashley A. Davis of Avondale, Arizona.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Arvie J. Davis III; one sister; and one brother.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2009, 10:30 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home Chapel with Father Kirby Hlavaty. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Aurora requested memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
