Mrs. Aurora Navarro, 85, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017. She was born July 1, 1932 in Cuero to the late Prisiliano and Guadalupe Sanchez Dimas. Aurora married the love of her life, Raymond Navarro Sr. on June 23, 1952 in Cuero. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, a member of the Guadalupañas, sang in the OLG choir, and was a Eucharistic minister. Aurora is survived by daughters, Sylvia Ortiz and Linda Gomez, both of Cuero; son, Ray Navarro Jr. of Cuero; sisters, Amelia Zungia, Mary Davis, Frances Ruiz, and Sarah Spinks; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Olira Garza; and brothers, Prisiliano Dimas Jr. and Manuel Dimas. Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Saturday, November 4, 2017, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jasper Liggio and Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brian Gomez, Matthew Gomez, Zachary Gomez, Brenda Ortiz, Russell Ortiz, and Kevin Ortiz. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
