Beatrice Penilla Dimas, 85, of Cuero passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012. She was born February 5, 1927 to the late Florentino and Adalina Rodriquez Penilla. She married her beloved husband, Prisciliano Dimas, on January 5, 1958 at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Beatrice was a beloved mother, hard worker, a wonderful caretaker, and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Elva Saldana, Delia Guajardo and husband, Albert, Rosie Ann D. Juarez and husband, Robert; sons, Daniel Saldana, Johnny Saldana, Gilbert Herrera, Joe Joel Dimas, Raul Penilla Dimas, Richard Dimas, and Issac Dimas; brother, Adam Penilla of Boulder, CO; 36 grandchildren and 85 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Angelita Penilla, Queenie Cortez, Gloria Herrera, and Guadalupe Fonseca and brother, Jesus Penilla.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary starting at 6 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at 10 a.m. St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
