Benita Stock Junker, 87, of Cuero went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 21, 2014. She was born on May 27, 1927 in Shiner to the late Arnold F. Stock and Emma Flessner Stock. Benita worked at Cudahy in Cuero, The Yoakum tannery, Five and Dime store in Cuero, and the GISD cafeteria. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Yorktown. Benita married Alton Junker on December 31, 1946 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero. They enjoyed dancing, playing dominoes, country music, praying, and going to church together. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Alton L. Junker; son, Roger Junker, and wife, Barbara Sue; sisters, Sharon Pargman, Gloria Harryman, and Dorothy Worsham; brother, Arnold Stock; and grandchildren, Sr. Gianna Junker, O.P. and Brandon G. Junker, and wife, Margaret. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Edna Marie Stock. Visitation will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Muehlbred officiating. Interment will follow. at Hillside Cemetery. There will be a reception at the Arneckeville Community Center following interment. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Yorktown or the charity of one's choosing.
