Benita Ramirez, 85, of Cuero passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023.  She was born March 21, 1938 in Westhoff to Pedro and Josefa Gomez Olguin.  She married Rudolfo Ramirez in 1955.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and grandkids.

She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Corpus, Lydia Ramirez, Sylvia Ramirez, Betty Ramirez, Benita Ramirez and Nancy Ramirez; sons, Porfirio Ramirez, Roy Ramirez and Javier Ramirez; sister, Rose Thomas; brothers, Domingo Olguin, Willie Olguin and Jessie Olguin; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Rudolfo; her sisters, Maria Nieves and Janie Banda and her brothers, Pete Olguin and Johnny Olguin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8, 2023, 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a rosary at 9:30 AM.  Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Javier Ramirez, Barry Ramirez, Willie Olguin, Jessie Olguin, David Trevino and Frank Alvarez.

Honorary Pallbearers are Porfirio Ramirez, Roy Ramirez and Mingo Olguin.
