Benito Webb Longoria, 81, of Cuero, went to his eternal rest on March 23, 2011. He was born on Aug. 22, 1929 to Julio and Hilaria Webb Longoria. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and he was a Guadalupano. He worked for Clyde Christian for 30 years as a jukebox/amusement machine technician. He created a partnership in this line of business for several years prior to becoming self-employed in the café business when he and his wife opened Taco Village Café which they operated for 22 years. After his retirement, he was employed as a door greeter for Wal-Mart for the past two years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dora Longoria of Cuero; son, Micheal R. Longoria (Sandra) of Sugar Land; daughter, Lisa Kristynik (Alan) of Victoria; brothers, Manuel W. Longoria of Tilmon and Julio W. Longoria of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Estela English of Victoria, Elvira Gonzales of San Antonio, Linda L. Hernandez and
Lydia Galindo of Cuero; and grandchildren, Jordan Longoria of Sugar Land, Hilary and Hannah Kristynik of Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Alyn Kristynik; brother, Robert W. Longoria; and his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Longoria, Albert Anzualda, Louis Guajardo, Jerry Clark, Manuel W. Longoria, and Pete Tijerina.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas or Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
