Benjamin T. Earp Jr., 56, of Madisonville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 in Dallas. He was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Kingsville, to Norma Louise Lovelady Earp of Woodsboro and the late Benjamin T. Earp. He married Susan Kay Luker on Dec. 13, 1975 in Cuero. He was a maintenance tech at Southern Methodist University.

He is survived by his mother; his wife; sons, Nicholas L. Earp and Benjamin T. Earp III, both of Madisonville; grandson, Christian A. Earp; brothers, Glenn E. Earp and wife Blanca of Houston, Patrick T. Earp of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Paul W. Earp and wife Vanessa of Ravenna, Ohio; his aunts, Billie Wiginton and Charlise Kenne, both of Woodsboro; nieces and nephews, Cyndi K. Earp, Daniel W. Earp, Rosalee Earp, Layla Brown, and Layton.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Freund Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home, with Mr. Kenneth Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Steele Branch Cemetery in Stockdale. Pallbearers will be Lester Thornton Jr., Kristopher Mills, Daniel Earp, Joshua Luker, Gerald Zengerle, and Caleb Sims.
