Benny A. Williams, 67, of Yorktown, formerly of Cuero, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011. He was born in Palacios on Sept. 20, 1943. Benny worked for Davis Plumbing in Cuero for over 35 years. He was a great father and grandfather. He will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Williams; mother, Ethel Williams; brothers, Jimmy and Vernon Williams; and sisters, Dolly Koopman, Faye Baker, and Frankie Tumlinson.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Lee Williams; son, Benny Williams Jr. and wife, Tina; daughters, Pauline Walker and husband, David, and Susan Edwards; his grandchildren, Trisha Rubio and husband, Fernando, Candace Lewis, Brandon Williams, Brittany Walker, Joshua Williams, Brooke Williams, Jared Edwards, and McKenzie Williams; his brothers, Delmar, Olen, and Andy Williams; sister, Corena Williams; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Chaplin Kenneth Hibbs officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
Pallbearers include David Walker, Wesley Edwards, Mike Shaw, Brandon Williams, Joshua Williams, Fernando Rubio, and Jared Edwards.
