Berdie Rae Boothe Mueller, 94, of Cuero, passed away on May 24, 2018. Rae was born on August 18, 1924 to the late Lee Cleveland and Bertie Morrow Boothe in Cuero.

Rae graduated from Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos. She was teaching school at Roseville School House when she met her husband of 71 years Edward Wayne "Speck" Mueller upon his return from service in WWII. They were married on November 1, 1946.

Rae loved traveling, the written word, her best friend and sister Merle, her grandchildren, and socializing with her friends. She was a wonderful, bright, loving person, the best mother and grandmother, and will be missed more than words can say.

Her parents, sister Merle, brother LC and his wife Evelyn, and her husband Speck precede her in death. Rae is survived by her brother Curt Boothe (Myra), daughters Suzanne Mueller Adams (Mitch) and Melissa Kay Mueller, son Marcus Ray Mueller (Lillie), granddaughter Abigail Adams Blinka (Dustin), grandsons Will Adams (Miranda) and Joshua Mueller; and 3 great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow immediately at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jeb Owens officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Michael Boothe, Roger Boothe, Kenneth Boothe,  Mitch Adams, Will Adams, and Dustin Blinka.

Memorial contributions may be made to Primitive Baptist Church in Stratton or Harbor Hospice.
