Bernard E. Jasso, 71, of Cuero, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born May 20, 1946 to the late Jose Jasso and Marcella Garza Aleman. Bernard married Lena Lira on June 9, 1966 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Cuero. Bernard served his country proudly with the U.S. Navy.

Bernard is survived by his wife of 51 years; daughter, Vicki Jasso Hinojoza of San Antonio; son, Cristopher Jasso or Cuero; sister, Lisa Aleman of Yoakum; brother, Joe Jasso of California, Santos Aleman of Cuero, Sherman Aleman of Cuero, and Rudy Jasso of Cuero.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tonie Jasso.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic church with the Rosary being read at 6:30 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
