Bernard "Bernie" Hajovsky, Jr., 63, of Cuero passed away on February 16, 2016. He was born on April 17,1952, in Shiner as the second of seven children to Bernard and Loretta Hajovsky of Gonzales. He is survived by his wife Nancy Jean Novak Hajovsky; his children Bridgette Lynette Cerny (Matthew), Brandy Jean Williams (Justin), Bernie Joe Hajovsky (Jordan), Blake Bernard Hajovsky (Ashley), and Bryan Bernard Hajovsky, OFM Conv; and his grandchildren Brooke Marie Cerny, Kristin Elizabeth Cerny, Sabine Anna Marie Williams, Harris Kristek Hajovsky, Jackson Dominic Hajovsky, Rylie Claire Hajovsky, Molly Catherine Hajovsky, and Colton Luke Hajovsky, all who affectionately called him "Pappy." He is also survived by his siblings Elaine Brzozowski, David Hajovsky, Jeanette Collins, Judy Ealand, Lori Thomas, and Bonnie Barton.
Bernie was an immensely loving and loyal husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend. A devoted family man, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing guitar. Bernie had a good sense about life and had a deep Catholic faith. He was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus of Holy Family Council, No. 9088.
Everyone is welcome to join in praying for Bernie's soul. The rosary will be prayed on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 6 p.m. at Saint Michael's Church in Cuero. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael's Church in Cuero, and his burial will immediately follow at Saints Cyril & Methodius Cemetery in Shiner.
