Obituary
Bernice LaVerne Rogers, 72, of Cuero, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015. She was born December 11, 1942 in Sharp to the late Gerhardt Piske and Selma Ottmer Piske. On October 10, 1961 she married the love of her life, Tommy Rogers.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Rogers Stubbs (Mike) of Cuero; sons, Billy Wayne Rogers and Thomas "TJ" Rogers (Debbie), both of Cuero; nineteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Lou Voyles; four brothers; and grandson, Justin Wayne Rogers.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 8, 2015 at Freund Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will also be held at Freund Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10 am, with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Kyle Stubbs, Cody Stubbs, Johnny Brewer, Calvin Pape, Scott Rogers, and Billy Rogers Jr. Honorary pallbearers include Butch Caraway, Louis Brewer, Rodney Caraway, Douglas White, Brandon Pape, and M.P. Scarbrough.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas in honor of Bernice LaVerne Rogers.
