Ms. Betty Marie Denman Nix, 81, of Spring, TX danced to her heavenly home on Monday, November 9, 2020.  She was born on July 21, 1939 in DeWitt County to Curtis Edward and Evie Ruth Arnold Denman.  She was a talented cosmetologist and was recognized for over 40 years of service with Merle Norman Cosmetics.   Betty was a country girl at heart, and enjoyed listening to country music and dancing.   She loved fishing, spending time at the coast and was determined to always catch the biggest fish.   She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and going on vacation.  Many memories were made by taking them to the coast, teaching them to fish, going to Dixy Dude Ranch, Sea World, the zoo, and Six Flags, she did it all. What Betty treasured most was being around family and spending quality time with everyone. She enjoyed cooking indoors and out and preparing feasts for her family and friends.  Thanksgiving and Christmas were most memorable to her as she made and shared her homemade fudge, divinity, candied yams, pies and especially the homemade egg nog that remains a family recipe.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ann Nix Agriesti of Spring; sons, Robert Dale Nix of Findlay, Ohio and Gerald W. Nix Jr. (wife Sherry) of San Antonio;  brothers, James Denman of Nordheim, Roy Denman of Nordheim and Doug Denman of Seguin; grandchildren, Michael Agriesti, (wife Haley) of Tomball, Mitchel Agriesti of Carson City, Nevada and Matthew Agriesti of The Woodlands; and great-grandchildren, Luke and Nolan Agriesti of Tomball.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresa Nix Lucas; sisters,   Lois Denman, Elna Grabeel, Lila Yarbrough and Lorene Shaffer.

Pallbearers include Michael Agriesti, Matthew Agriesti, and Mitchel Agriesti.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 15, 2020, 1:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Terry Brown officiating.  Interment will follow at Bellview Cemetery.
