Betty Jo Stokes, 75, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023.  She was born July 16, 1948 in Cuero to Alvin and Mary Pokluda Stokes. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and worked for Cuero Hospitals for forty-one years and was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.

She is survived by her brothers, Donald Stokes and Jimmy (Lorene) Stokes.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2023, 9:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 AM.  Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 AM with Father Jacob Mendoza officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Shane LaLa, Johnny Karm, James Petru,

Dustin Speyrer, Brittany Speyrer and Michael Pesek.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church or St. Michaels Catholic School.
