Betty Tomanec, 90, of Cuero, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born October 28, 1927 in Normanna to the late Fred and Gladys Billings. Betty married the love of her life, Clifford Tomanec, on August 5, 1947 in Cuero. She had a rewarding career as an LVN at Cuero Community Hospital. Betty is survived by her daughter, Rosanne Tomanec-Percer (Mike) of Yorktown; son, John Tomanec (Jean) of Victoria; grandchildren, Dr. Anna Leal of Grottoes, VA and Brian Tomanec (Michelle) of Victoria; and great grandchildren, Cadence and Kinsley Tomanec. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 57 years; sister, Rosa Nell Lampley; and brother, Fred "Buddy" Billings, Jr. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home. The funeral services will immediately follow at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Deacon Leo Sharron officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church.
