CUERO-Bobby Charles Eichholz Sr. died Monday evening, August 17, 2009, at the age of 75. He was born in Cuero on June 27, 1934, to William E. and Norma Eichholz. Upon graduation from Cuero High School, he began work at Sears in Cuero, transferring to Victoria some years later. After serving as display manager for 35 years with Sears in Victoria, he retired to his home town, Cuero, in 1994.
He participated in the youth choir at Our Lady of Victory, and later became an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and Joyce Klaus, his sister.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Eichholz, and son Bobby C. Eichholz Jr. with wife Terri and daughter Julia of San Antonio. Also surviving are: his sister, Charline Walters of Billings, Montana, in addition to his brother Norvan and wife Gertrude, and brother Bill Eichholz of Cuero.
The visitation, followed by the recitation of the rosary, will be at Freund Funeral Home Wednesday, August 19, 6-8pm.
The funeral mass will be at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Thursday, August 20, with Reverend Kirby Hlavaty presiding.
Pallbearers: Larry Klaus, Bill Eichholz, Bob Kuhn, Eddie Klaus, Tony Machacek, Joe Keefe.
Memorials may be given to St. Michael's Catholic Church.
