IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brian Keith
Cervantes
November 22, 1978 – July 29, 2020
Heaven has gained an angel. Earth shall mourn his passing.
Brian Keith Cervantes was welcomed into Heaven in the early dawn of Wednesday, July 29, 2020. He fought as hard as he could against a disease that quickly and cruelly stole him away from his loved ones.
Brian's story began on November 22, 1978. He was born to the late Lupe Cervantes in Cuero, and was an inspiration to everyone from that day on.
Anyone who knew Brian, knew he loved music….and boy could he sing!!! His favorite music was Tejano, and of course anything George Strait. Being the best dancer EVER….period…..he could not contain himself whenever he heard music playing. At local dances he would usually get things started by dancing alone in the middle of the floor…but not for long, as no girl could resist his charm and smooth dance moves.
Always happy and smiling, Brian was a ray of light where ever he went.
With such a big smile and even bigger heart, it's no wonder that he was very popular and well known in Cuero. Always ready with a big hello and warm hug, Brian never met a stranger. He touched the hearts of everyone he met and was loved by all.
We are all better people for knowing him.
Brian leaves behind his earthly guardian, Nicole Sertuche. She, with no hesitation, took Brian to live with her when his mother passed away in 1999.
He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother and his grandmother, Maria Cervantes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, 9 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Rosary to be recited at 9:30 AM and Funeral Services to begin at 10:00 AM with Father Jasper Liggio and Father Jacob Mendoza presiding.
Afterwards, he will be laid to rest next to his mother at San Pedro Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Gonzalo Diaz, Jr., Christopher Diaz, Martin Rodriguez, Devont'e Jackson, Dustin Perez and Ricky Varela Jr.
Brian wouldn't want you to be sad for him. He'd want you to remember him as a happy, loving, energetic, root beer drinking, cumbia dancing, bingo playing, George Strait singing, nephew, cousin, and best friend.
So, to honor him, give someone a hug, play some George Strait, or dance a cumbia in your living room…because Brian will be right there with you.
