Bryan Keith Saenz

Bryan Keith Saenz, 42 of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of Cuero passed away June 23, 2026. He was born March 10, 1984, to Raul Saenz and Kathy Hanna. While attending Cuero High School, he was an A/B honor student and played the clarinet in the Cuero High School Marching Band. He received many awards in his curriculum and while in band. After high school, he attended Victoria Collage and TST in Waco and became an IT Tech and majored in electronic data and professional build communication network, safeguard data, and troubleshoot technical problems. His jobs included contracts with major industrial facilities with startup processes. He settled with Amazon in South Bend, Indiana as an engineer specialist in Web design. His experience and knowledge of understanding and how things worked was a gift. He could simplify the process or present better ways to upgrade his diagrams.

Besides his love for electronics, he enjoyed the outdoors which included hiking, biking on Mountain trails, and he loved to camp. Living in the Country and being a boy scout is why this became second nature to him. He also loved shooting pool with his dad and friends and he loved playing darts and golf. His father would joke around with him about the game of golf saying, “I would rather chase a ball on the green of a pool table than on the green of a pasture referring to golf as pasture pool”. He loved to take walks on the beach everywhere he went which included Texas, California, Oregon, Maine, Florida, Lake Michigan, and the many lakes of Minnesota and he loved spending time with friends and family - especially with his nieces, Great Uncles, and Aunts. 

His most passionate hobbies included reading books, mostly mythical creatures and characters such as those described in Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, and Zelda. He was also a Harry Potter fan reading books before seeing the movies. He would read literature in the areas his jobs took him and he loved to explore ancient history. He was an adamant fisherman who loved to fish especially on his Kayak. He would find the local fishing spots on lakes where his job took him too. Even on his off time he would spend time on the ranch with his dad and fish at the Pond sometimes doing more talking than fishing. Bryan always had a Big, Beautiful Smile and could light up everyone’s soul, especially those who were having a bad day. His smile was so contagious. It will be truly missed. He texted his father one morning and said “It’s a beautiful morning. I think I’ll step outside for a while and just smile”. Every Sunday after Church he would call his father and they would discuss each other’s sermons that they had listened to that morning. 

Bryan is survived by his father, Raul Saenz Sr.; his mother, Kathy Youney; his brothers, Raul Saenz Jr. of Austin, Jarimie Seth Saenz of New Mexico and Bradley Cole Saenz of Fannin; nieces, Iris Rey, Ana Grace, Jordan Cheri, Aurora “RoRo”, and nephews, Liam Paul and Jaxon Ezra.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2026, 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a rosary to begin at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 22, 2026, 10:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
