Cuero – Camilla Fore Copenhaver, 91, of Cuero passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009. She was born January 27, 1917 in Corpus Christi to the late Edwin B. and Hazel Porterfield Fore. She married Walter E. Copenhaver on December 25, 1934 in Sinton, Texas. Camilla was a bookkeeper for Buchel Bank and a member of the DeWitt County Flower Association, VFW Auxiliary Association, the Historical Museum and First Presbyterian Church of Cuero.

She is survived by her sons, Walter E. Copenhaver and wife Charlotte and Barry F. Copenhaver and wife, Judy; daughter-in-law, Nina Copenhaver of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Mike Copenhaver of Crosby, Chris and Julie Copenhaver of Lufkin, Lynne and Mike Eubanks of Sweeney, Donna Copenhaver of Ft. Worth, Leah and Carlos Ramos of California, Scott and Ineke Copenhaver of Washington D.C. and Jill Copenhaver of Washington D.C.; step-grandchildren, Barbara J. and James Marsh of Crockett; nine great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband; her parents; son, Michael Copenhaver; and grandson, Glen Copenhaver.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery with Rev. Kathryn Morton officiating.
