Cecil Melvin Davidson, Sr., 87, of Cuero passed away Saturday December 26, 2015. He was born September 16, 1928 in San Benito to Ira and Julia Davidson. Cecil married Charlene Dodson on August 28, 1993 in Ganado. He served in the United States Army and retired as a pipefitter and heavy equipment operator for Union Association.
He is survived by wife, Charlene Davidson; daughters, Jackie Twinn (Tom) of Cuero, Linda Koop (Wayne) of Edna; sons, Cecil Davidson, Jr., of Goliad, Clifford Davidson (Lisa) of Victoria, Lynn Dodson (Brenda) of Round Rock; sister Jimmy Young of Johnson City; brother, George Davidson, Sr. of Cuero; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Bonnie Cox Davidson; grandsons, Quinton Davidson, Brian Twinn; and granddaughter Stephanie Koop Lambert.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Graveside services following at 1:00 p.m. at the Woodsman of the World Cemetery in Prairie Lea with Pastor Terry Brown, officiating.
