Charlene Denning, 64, of Yoakum, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015. She was born December 17, 1950 in San Marcos to the late Charles Cowan and Wanda Kilpatrick Parson. She married the late Theodore "Bud" Denning in 1979, in Victoria. She was a devoted housewife for most of her life. She loved to sit around and talk for hours. No one could tell which she liked more, cooking or talking. She was also a member of Assembly of God Church in Yoakum.

She is survived by daughter, Betty Denning; sons, Jason Melton, Teddy Denning, Eddie Denning, Lonnie Denning, Johnny Denning, Ronnie Denning, Tommy Denning; sisters, Joyce Maynard of Victoria, Loretta Garcia (Andy) of Yoakum, Sherry Burdick of Victoria; brothers, Richard Wright of Victoria, James Parson (Linda) of Beardstown, IL, Patrick Parson (Kimberly) of California, Danny Parson (Lynn) of IL, Jack Parson (Samantha) of TN; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home, with the funeral following at 2:30 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery.
