Obituary

Charlene G. Hartman, 76, was received by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Charlene was born in Cuero to Emma Blank Hartman and Henry W. Hartman.

She is survived by her sister, Doris Kay Purinton; brother, Henry J. Hartman and wife, Rebecca of Nickerson, Kansas; nephew, Robert C. Purinton and wife Bibi; nephew, Randal L. Purinton and wife Victoria; niece, Rachel Fauth and husband Joel; nephew, Jeffrey Smith and wife Carrie; niece, Julie Gregg and husband Hayden; niece, Cynthia Wright and husband Wade; niece, Patricia Stinchcomb and husband Jason; nephew, Matthew Hartman and wife Allison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Lee 'Denny' Hartman; and grandparents, John and Flora Blank.

Charlene was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA Mary-Martha Circle of Victoria. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Cuero and Victoria for 39 years and three months as an Operator and Drafting Clerk. Her hobby was making and decorating cakes for family and friends. She served as Treasurer of LWC Texas-Louisiana Synodical in 1962-1966.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be Friday, April 3, 2009, 10 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Victoria with Pastor Barney officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Cuero.

Pallbearers: Wayne Blank, Carrol Blank, Ronald Blank, Jeffrey Smith, Ben Mozisek, and James Fait.
