Charlene Vann, 83, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was born October 29, 1929 in Kansas, MO to the late Joseph and Julia Terrell Vann. She worked as an LVN for Osteopathic Hospital in Kansas City for 6 years. After moving to Cuero she started working at Burns Hospital which later became Cuero Community Hospital. She retired on October 23, 1991.

She is survived by her cousins, Everett R. Brown of Victoria, Charles R. Brown, and Otward Brown, Jr. both of Cuero; brother, Sonny Rogers of Kansas City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Billy Rogers; sister, Jean Rogers Lewis; and grandparents, Willie 'Buck' Sr. and Anges Johnson Terrell.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with George Franklin officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasantville Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Charles Brown, Everett 'Jet' Brown, Jordan Joseph, Sam Joseph, and Otward Brown, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers include Deacons & Trusties of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
