Charles Edward Bibbs, 68, of Cuero, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018.  He was born in Lubbock on August 20, 1950 to the late Surcee and Annie Mae Quigley Bibbs.   Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He married the love of his life, Tina Lynn Quinterro.  Charles was a Physical Therapy Technician in San Antonio, a CNA at Cuero Nursing and Rehab, and a livestock worker in Cuero and the surrounding areas before retiring.

Charles is survived by his wife, Tina; daughter, Amber Danielle Quinterro of Cuero; sons, Xavier Charles Quinterro of Cuero, James Young of Allen, and Charles E. Bibbs Jr. of Oakland, CA; sister, Mae Etta Bibbs of Lubbock;  nieces, Annie Bibbs and Bonnie Bass; and four granddaughters, eight grandsons, and two great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Freund Funeral Home.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Lou Terry Jackson officiating.   Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Joe Leo Juarez, Jayden Juarez, Anthonye Wilson, Marvin Davis, Jermaine Houston, and SL Lewis IV.  Honorary pallbearers will include Joe Juarez Jr. and Patrick Rodriguez.

Memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses.
