Charles Borgfeld, 58, of Meyersville passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2018. He was born June 19, 1959 in Cuero to the late Victor and Joyce Freude Borgfeld. Charles aka "Charlie Boy" spent most of his career in the oilfield and doing electrician work. He enjoyed hunting, sausage making, and cracking jokes. Charlie learned the secret of making his mom's famous fried chicken and battered fries and was often begged by various family members to make this special treat. He was a proud Popo – reading stories and bringing them to life and giving lawnmower rides were favorite activities. Charlie was also a regular blood donor; the end of his life brought forth his final donation - his organs.
Charlie leaves behind to cherish his memories: wife of 17 years, Michelle Weise Borgfeld; children, Paul Borgfeld, Felicia (Cody) Jacobusse, Ashley Borgfeld and stepsons, Zachary DeLeon and Jeffrey Tyler; grandchildren, Dante and Kylie; brothers, Victor Jr (Vicki), Glen (Margaret), Harvey (Cheryl), and Darvin (Vickie); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Arleen Weise; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Royce; and stepson, Bo Tyler.
Pallbearers are: Jeffrey Tyler, Shane Harmon, Monte Hochdorf, Jakob Hochdorf, Steve Storbeck, and Lee Morris. Honorary pallbearers: Brian Borgfeld and his grandchildren.
