Obituary

CUERO - Charles Dromgoole, 82, of Cuero, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009. He was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Gillett, to the late Magie Grosskurth and Charlie Dromgoole. He was a bus driver and party chief for Seismograph Company. He was U.S. Army veteran, serving as a corporal, and was a member of the Men's Auxiliary Fire Dept., VFW, American Legion, and Society of Exploration Geophysicists.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Lyon and husband Keith Rock Lyon of McAlester, Okla.; sister, Betty Estell of Humble; grandchildren,Brandi Fisher and husband Perry of The Colony and Todd and Anderson of Morris, Okla.; and great-grandchildren, Ian and Gavin Fisher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Francis Dromgoole; son, Charles Allen Dromgoole; sisters, Vann Smith, Opal Richman, and Ruby Buenger; and brother, Warren Dromgoole.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, June 16, at Freund Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Freund Funeral Home with Deacon Tony Warzecha officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
