Charles "Chuck" Wilson, 63, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015. He was born May 12, 1952 in Cuero to the late C.R. Bob Wilson and Doris Starnes Wilson. He went on to marry the love of his life, Janice Cook Wilson on June 20, 1972 in Victoria. He spent the majority of his life serving in law enforcement. He worked as a DPS officer, a Sergeant and a Detective for the City of Cuero. He worked at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and also served as the County Constable, and the Municipal Judge in Yorktown and Cuero. Chuck also took over as owner of Tex-San, his father's pest control business, in 1989. He was an avid hunter and a proud member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by his beloved wife; sons, Wade Wilson (Jennifer Berger Wilson) of Seguin, Doug Wilson (Dr. Melissa L. Wilson) of Victoria; brother, Robert Drew Wilson (Jeanie) of Hallettsville; grandchildren, Hadlee, Hays, and Harper of Seguin, and Cannon and Cooper of Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Freund Funeral Home from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Cuero beginning at 2 pm with Pastor Glenn Robertson officiating.
Pallbearers include David Calliham, Gerry Sager, Kirk McClellan, Johnny Pokluda, Mike Frers, Roger Boothe, Darin Kuntschik, and Lawrence Anzaldua. Honorary pallbearers include Tony Allen and all of his long time poker buddies.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lions Club or First United Methodist Church.
