January 21, 1928 – February 22, 2021
Chester Wallace, Jr. passed away Sunday, February 22, 2021 at the age of 93. He was born January 21, 1928, the first born son to Chester Wallace, Sr. and Edyth Little Wallace of Warden, White County, Arkansas.
He worked for Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation for thirty seven years, taking an early retirement in 1985. After retirement he continued golfing, operated two car washes and became a Dairy Queen daily. He was an ordained deacon with First Baptist Church. He also served as a volunteer bus driver for the church van on Sunday morning; the sound engineer for the choirs and adult Sunday school department.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel for seventy three years; daughter, JoLeah Tilbury of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, Doyle of Bald Knob, Arkansas; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Joshua Wallace, Rachel Sarah Ericson, Marcus Wallace, Cody Wallace, Dillon Wallace, Evan Wallace, Ryder Wallace, Everly Wallace and Avery Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Benny Wallace and Kenny Wallace and a great-grandson, Ethan Wallace.
Chester will be lying in state on Friday, February 26, 2021, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Freund Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Saturday, February 27, 2021, 2 pm at Hillside Cemetery with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating.
