Christina V. Munoz, 93, of Cuero, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Warms Springs in Victoria. She was born March 13, 1917, in Yorktown, to the late Louis Vasquez and Lenora Martinez Vasquez. She was married to Robert Munoz on Feb. 24, 1947, in Cuero.
She was a homemaker and worked in a cotton mill for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, St. Michael's Catholic Church, and Guadalupanas.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Rodriguez of Cuero; sisters, Mary Hernandez and Janie Garza, both of Cuero; brother, Victor Vasquez; grandchildren, Patricia Jeansonne (Martin) of Port Lavaca, Mary Jo Rodriguez (Eufemio) of Cuero, Norma Linda Nava of Cuero, Olga Rios (Erasmo) of Yorktown, Dianne Liendo (Joseph) of Cuero, Daniel Rodriguez Jr. (Brenda) of Victoria, and Patrick Rodriguez of Cuero; 14 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sisters, Damacia Rodriguez and Margaret Garza; brothers, Nacario Vasquez, Ralph Vasquez, Louis Vasquez Jr., and Alfred Vasquez; daughter-in-law, Mary D. Rodriguez; and grandson, Eddie Rodriguez.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a morning rosary following at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010, at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010, at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Daniel Rodriguez Jr., Patrick Rodriguez, Augustine Rios, Cole Liendo, Ronnie Garza, and Jerry De La Rosa.
