Christopher Ray Licon, 46, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026. He was born January 2, 1980 in Cuero to the late Romero Licon Sr. and Elena Maldonado Licon. He enjoyed playing outside with his cars and trucks, pushing his bike and he loved watching Cops and the Three Stooges on his television. He also liked to play his drums, listen to music - especially New Kids on the Block and Kumbia Kings, feed his chickens and go fishing. He always told stories about killing deer; hogs and he loved his fake guns. Chris loved to eat ribs, but hated watermelon. He loved watching heavy equipment vehicles and he always said that he wanted to cut the lawn with his lawnmower and weedeater.

He is survived by his mother, Elena Licon; sisters, Sylvia Licon, Esther Licon, Elizabeth Licon, Lisa Licon, Patricia Licon-McFarland, Ascencion Licon, Carol Licon, and Melissa Perez; brothers, Romero Licon Jr., San Martin Licon, David Licon, Felipe Licon and Matthew Licon Sr. and many nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Romero Licon Sr. and brothers, Vincent Licon and Jesse Licon.

Pallbearers include Matthew Licon, David Licon, Martin Licon, Brandon Perez, Robert Perez Jr., Brian Billings, Isaiah Licon and Zaiden Licon.

Honorary Pallbearers include Ysidro Coronado and James Hart.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 25, 2026, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Michael Odartey-Lamptey officiating.
