Clella Marie Carter, 82, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016. She was born November 12, 1933 in Fort Worth to Frank and Willie Rodgers. She married George H. Carter, Jr. on September 3, 1951 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

She is survived by daughters, Brenda Kay Littleton (Bill) of McAllen, Janice Marie Smith (David) of Sanger, Jeanine Kay Jennings (Jim ) of Sinton; son, David Holt Carter (Denise Brewer) of Victoria; grandchildren, Jennifer Ramsey of Ft. Worth, Wendy Baker of Scottsdale, AZ, Janelle May of Aubrey, Ryan Carter of Houston, Will Littleton of McAllen, Victor Carter of San Antonio, Jonathan Carter of Crestview, FL and Ashley Carter of Crestview, FL; great-grandchildren, Kalyn Baker, Carter May, Marek May and Jett Baker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband George; sisters, Thelma Rodgers, Billie Payne, Shirley Guerrero and Mollie Queen; and brothers, Jack Rodgers and Bob Rodgers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cuero with Funeral Services beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Will Littleton, Ryan Carter, Victor Carter, Jonathan Carter, Bill Littleton, David Smith, Jim Jennings and Matt Baker.
