Consuelo 'Connie' Villarreal, age 95, was born on April 23, 1921 to Justo Esquibel and Felipa Segura Esquibel in Dodge City, Kansas. She was called home on September 7, 2016. She met her husband Ramon S. Villarreal Jr. while he was stationed in Dodge City, Kansas during WWII. They were married in Del Rio, Texas in July 1944. They lived in Del Rio and Dodge City, then retired to Cuero, Texas. Everyone knew her as 'Grandma Connie', no one came to her house and left hungry. She was known for her laughter, her loving terms of endearment and her cooking. She welcomed everyone; she was a nurturer. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was dearly loved by them. She is survived by her daughter Carol Kline (Bob) Dodge City, Kansas; daughter-in-law Sharon Villarreal, Cuero Texas; granddaughters Donna Sanchez Wichita, KS; Shay Arriaga (Matthew), Cuero, TX, Bryn Villarreal, College Station, TX; grandsons Robert Sanchez, Wichita, KS); Beau Villarreal, Victoria, TX; Cade Villarreal, Austin, TX; great grandchildren Trey Sanchez, Wichita, KS; Mason Sanchez, Wichita, KS; MaElena Sanchez, Dodge City, KS; Jewelee Arriaga, Cuero, TX; Greenleigh Sanchez, College Station, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Ray Villarreal III, 7 brothers and 4 sisters. Pallbearers are Beau Villarreal, Cade Villarreal, Matthew Arriaga, Michael Peters, Dustin Metting and Aaron Ford. Honorary Pallbearers are Roy Peters, Robert Sanchez and her great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Cuero, TX on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:00 a.m., rosary at 9:30 followed by mass at 10:00 a.m. with Father David Berger officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Michael's Catholic School.
