Daniel Rodriguez Sr., 86, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020. He was born March 11, 1934 in Yorktown to Gregorio and Christina Vasquez Rodriguez. He was married to Maria DeHoyos Rodriguez. His most recent job was a door greeter for Wal-Mart where his smile and kind Hello will be missed by many.

He is survived by daughters, Patricia Jeasonne (Martin), Mary Jo Rodriguez (FM), Norma Linda Nava, Olga Rios (the late Erasmo) and Dianne Liendo (Bubba); sons, Daniel Rodriguez Jr. (Brenda) and Patrick Rodriguez; sixteen grandchildren and twenty nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Christina V. Munoz; father, Gregorio Rodriguez; step-father, Robert Munoz; wife, Maria Rodriguez; baby daughter; sons, Eddie Ray Rodriguez and Steven Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, 2020, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, September 19, 2020, 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Funeral Mass immediately following with Father Jasper Liggio officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Masks and Social Distancing are required.
