Darlene Marie Schulle was called to her heavenly home Sept. 30, 2009. She was born Oct. 27, 1961 in Yorktown to August L. and Hazel C. Wisian Schulle.

She is survived by her father; brothers, Raymond Schulle (Glynda) of Cuero and William Schulle of Westhoff; her niece Christina Schulle and nephew Wesley Schulle of Cuero.

Despite the many obstacles she had to overcome with her illness, Darlene held positions at Allied Feeds, Inc., Victoria Bank and Trust, and Surface Burial Vault & Monument Co. She also served as secretary for the Westhoff Cemetery Association for many years.

Darlene was an avid gardener. She loved swapping cuttings and seedlings with her friends and family. She was a talented photographer. Photography was a passion she acquired as a member of Cuero High School Annual Staff and throughout the years she blessed her loved ones with many treasured photos. Darlene loved getting dress up and going out dancing with her family and friends. Darlene was an inspiration to all and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents, Hugo O. and Hulda Wisian and Christian W. and Emily Born Schulle and Christina Spellman Schulle.

Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2009 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 3, 2009, 10:30 am, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Westhoff. Interment will follow at Westhoff Cemetery.
